Kpop - YG Finally Delivers Something Promising With BLACKPINK

So YG's finally debuting another girl group. It's about time, since YG had been teasing a nine member girl group with a great visuals and a slightly edgy concept. However that couldn't happen since Twice has already filled that void and has instead gone with a four member group with great visuals and seems to have some sort of duo concept.

I feel bad for BLACKPINK because they're probably automatically going to get hate just for the fact that they're a four member girl group from YG. It's almost a guarantee they'll be compared to/called the "inferior" 2NE1. Watch some Pann member post a conspiracy about how BLACKPINK are the real reason behind 2NE1's problems. They'll also probably be looked down upon by the elitist for being "conventionally attractive" because YG fans have always defended YG's idols by saying that they "Don't care about looks because talent is all that matters." So BlackPink will be looked at as YG's cop-out group or whatever.

With that stated the group looks pretty cool. So far I am partial to Lisa and Jisoo:

Given the impression YG has left on me for the past few years (not good) I'm not super hyped for the group however I have taken interest because so far Big Three girl group debuts have been going really well for the past two years: we got Red Velvet in 2014, and Twice in 2015. In 2016 we're getting BLACKPINK (hopefully, you never know, it's YG.) So hopefully YG has saved up some good songs for the group so they can at least be on par with the times.
