Kpop - [MV Review] HELLOVENUS - Paradise

As far as I'm concerned, this is the first thing HELLOVENUS has released since Brave Brothers' electro-sexy garbage Wiggle Wiggle and I'm Ill (the day I listen to a shitty ballad like Glow is the day hell freezes over).

Excitedly fleeing the Brave Brothers reign of terror
How much do I follow the activities of this group? About as far as watching the dance practice for Wiggle Wiggle on mute. But this song is actually pretty good! I would describe it as a 50/50 mix between SNSD's Lion Heart and Party. The stomp-and-clap beat is fun, and the instrumental leaves a LOT of room for the girl's voices to shine. I also don't mind the slightly whiplashy stylistic changes between the verses, prechorus and chorus. Transitions are for losers, amiright?

The concept for the video appears to be "nice scenery + hot girls = success??" It sort of works for them, honestly. Like it's a little boring, but I'm not going to complain about Lime/Nara/etc. cavorting around in skimpy clothing and being cute.
Just Nara being Nara

Overall, a generic retro-ish song and a generic beach MV starring some hot girls with decent voices makes for an eminently enjoyable, if not exceptional, product. It's no gamechanger, but it'll do nicely. 3/5.
