2015's solo debuts are reviewed here.
In honour of Fei's sextastic solo debut, I've decided to do a mini review (like, a few sentences. I have a day job) of every single female solo debut from 2015 and 2016 (so far, obviously). Here are the debuts from 2016 so far:
Incredibly repetitive but still pretty cute. It would have been better if it was about a minute and thirty seconds shorter.
Sex.
CONTROVERSIAL OPINION: I liked Love Me The Same better. Regardless, Jung sisters forever.
To quote myself, this is an emoji hellscape.
The best part of this video is how hilariously poorly the audio is synced up with Jungah's lip-syncing. The worst part is what an incredible waste of Jungah's sexiness it is. Also, they skimped on pitch-correction and I really, really wish they hadn't. Disappointing on the whole.
The very best iteration of f(x)'s recent lite-EDM spree. A great listen and a pretty cool video. Plus she looks phenomenal.
The fact that it kinda sounds like she's saying "crap crap crap" at the beginning is ... telling.
I have no idea who this person is but if you enjoy Ailee or Mamamoo's brand of throwback R&B (plus rap breaks, for some reason) then you will enjoy this. Honestly, I did!
This looks and sounds like an IU b-side, complete with vaguely flamenco-tinged guitar intro. Take from that what you will.
Easy on the ears, easy on the eyes. It's not going to change anybody's life, but it made me sit up and take notice of Tiffany('s sex appeal). Can't argue with that.
I love this shit. With anyone else starring, this video would be laughable: pacing around a set tearing up paper, shoving makeup artists and scribbling on bulletin boards doesn't exactly give you a lot of street cred. But Yezi commits so hard both vocally and visually that it's hard not to take her seriously. Plus, it's a cool beat.
Looking into the future, it looks like we're going to get a solo debut from Seohyun this year. Fingers crossed for a sexy concept, though lord knows SM never gives me what I want. UPDATED TO ADD: And Yuri next year! Lord, SNSD is the gift that keeps on giving and giving and giving even when you're like "ok maybe you should stop buying me stuff?"
